Deuteronomy 2:30

30But aSihon the king of bHeshbon would not let us pass by him, for the Lord your God chardened his spirit and made his heart obstinate, that he might give him into your hand, as he is this day.

Joshua 8:3

3So Joshua and all the fighting men arose to go up to Ai. And Joshua chose 30,000 mighty men of valor and sent them out by night.

Joshua 8:24-25

24When Israel had finished killing all the inhabitants of Ai in the open wilderness where they pursued them, and all of them to the very last had fallen by the edge of the sword, all Israel returned to Ai and struck it down with the edge of the sword. 25And all who fell that day, both men and women, were 12,000, all the people of Ai.

Joshua 11:20

20For it was the Lord’s doing dto harden their hearts that they should come against Israel in battle, in order that they should be devoted to destruction and should receive no mercy but be destroyed, ejust as the Lord commanded Moses.

Isaiah 19:11-13

11 The princes of gZoan are utterly foolish;
the wisest counselors of Pharaoh give stupid counsel.
How can you say to Pharaoh,
“I am a son of the wise,
a son of ancient kings”?
12Where then are your hwise men?
Let them tell you
that they might know what the Lord of hosts has purposed against Egypt.
13The princes of iZoan have become fools,
and the princes of jMemphis are deluded;
those who are the kcornerstones of her tribes
have made Egypt stagger.
